The City of Gulfport & Gulfport Grassroots to Host “Swap & Drop” Community Event
Free Junk Drop-Off and Item Swap Promotes Reuse and Sustainability

The City of Gulfport invites residents to take part in its Swap & Drop community event on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Gulfport Recreation Center, located at 5730 Shore Blvd. S.

This free community event allows residents to dispose of unwanted household items and swap usable goods with neighbors, helping reduce waste while encouraging reuse and sustainability throughout the community.
Participants dropping off will be asked to remain in their vehicles during the event and to place items in an easily accessible location, such as a trunk, backseat, truck bed, or trailer, to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

The Swap & Drop event is open to Gulfport residents only, and proof of residency is required.
